Hormonal Health
Whole-system care for thyroid, adrenal, reproductive and metabolic hormones, so everything works together again.

What is hormonal health?
Hormones are chemical messengers that influence nearly every major system in the body: energy, metabolism, mood, sleep, libido, brain function, digestion, stress response, temperature, skin, muscle and weight.
When hormones become imbalanced, symptoms can feel confusing or disconnected. You may notice fatigue, stubborn weight gain, anxiety, irritability, low libido, poor sleep, brain fog, hot flashes, night sweats, irregular cycles, painful periods, hair thinning or cravings. Or you may find that your body no longer responds to the habits that used to work.
At Ascent Health Center, we look beyond "in range" hormone levels. We consider how hormones are produced, metabolized and cleared, and how stress, inflammation, blood sugar, thyroid function, adrenal health, gut health and nutrient status affect them.
| Hormone area | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Estrogen | Impacts mood, cycle health, skin, sleep, body composition, libido, brain function, and perimenopause/menopause symptoms. |
| Progesterone | Supports sleep, calm, cycle balance, mood stability, and healthy estrogen balance. |
| Testosterone | Supports libido, confidence, motivation, muscle, energy, mental clarity, and metabolic health in both women and men. |
| Cortisol | Reflects stress response and can influence belly fat, sleep, anxiety, energy crashes, cravings, and inflammation. |
| Thyroid hormones | Affect metabolism, temperature, hair, skin, digestion, mood, and energy. |
| Insulin & blood sugar markers | Help explain cravings, weight resistance, inflammation, fatigue, and metabolic changes. |
What we help with
Hormone Imbalances
Hormonal changes can affect everything from mood and sleep to weight, libido, energy, brain fog and confidence. We evaluate patterns related to estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, thyroid, and perimenopause or menopause transitions, so you can stop guessing and start understanding what your body needs.
Common signs: Hot flashes, night sweats, low libido, mood swings, fatigue, stubborn weight gain, irregular cycles, poor sleep, brain fog, hair thinning, anxiety, or feeling "not like yourself."
Adrenal Fatigue & Burnout
Long-term stress can affect the body's ability to regulate energy, mood, sleep, cravings and resilience. We look at cortisol patterns and stress response to help support adrenal function and restore a healthier rhythm.
Common signs: Waking up tired, afternoon crashes, relying on caffeine, feeling wired at night, anxiety, irritability, salt cravings, poor recovery, and overwhelm.
Thyroid Dysfunction
Your thyroid helps control metabolism, temperature, digestion, mood, hair, skin and energy. Even when basic thyroid labs look "normal," deeper patterns may reveal why you still feel sluggish, cold, foggy or weight-loss resistant.
Common signs: Fatigue, weight gain, hair thinning, constipation, feeling cold, dry skin, low mood, brain fog, and slow metabolism.
